Sex trafficking is happening. Forced labor is happening. Child trafficking is happening. The reality is there are millionschildren, women, and menaffected by modern-day slavery. Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world. What gives us hope is that we’ve seen awareness prevent trafficking on a massive scale over the past 12 years. We can stop the cycle of human trafficking. Now is the time to turn awareness into action, and @a21 is here to equi...p you. With your help, freedom will prevail. #EndHumanTrafficking#HumanTrafficking Repost from @christinecaine . This is an issue that is near to my heart. In our work in the juvenile justice system, we see the devastating impact of trafficking on young girls. There are so many wonderful organizations here in Fresno that are working hard in the fight against trafficking - I’ve tagged some of them in this post! #hopeforfresno #ihavehope #worlddayagainsttrafficking @ Fresno, California See more

One of the most difficult parts of quarantine is that we are no longer able to be in Juvenile Hall every Friday, educating and encouraging the girls there to pursue healthy relationships and sexual integrity, reminding them of their value. Our hearts are going out to each one of them as they are some of the most vulnerable members of our community. . The good news is that during this time, our team is able to write letters to them! We hope that this small act of connection will continue to build our relationship with them and will remind these girls that they are loved and so very valuable . Please join with us in praying for the incarcerated youth during this time #ihavehope #hopeforfresno

This has been my home office for the past 2 months - plenty of cozy pillows and iced coffee! . During this time of sheltering-in-place, I’ve been working on lots of projects and digging into exciting ideas for how the HOPE Team can continue growing and serving our community! But I have to admit, my absolute favorite aspect of my job is the few presentations that I’m still able to give. These classes may look different (as they’re conducted over Zoom and we tend to experie...nce WAY more technical difficulties than we would face-to-face ). But I am so grateful that even in this time of isolation, we are still connecting with our community and equipping them with the tools and information for healthy relationships. . (Swipe to see a sneak peek of our Conflict Resolution presentation - the 3 Mindsets for Healthy Conflict slide that I recently taught over Zoom for Lighthouse Recovery ) See more
