After Steffen was arrested and extradited to Ohio, the answer to their misguided pipe dream mission of No Kill Lifesaving and Save Them All which they ran into the ground not even two years into forming their Non Profit Underdog Alliance was to dump the remaining dogs on any old rescue and trainers that think it is perfectly normal to use shock collars to train behavioral and aggressive dogs. This is Definitely a step up from the former shelter Director Mike Kaviani who cut and ran, since Andi Bernard has been interim director and now shelter director, OC Animal Care has been making significant positive progress!... OC Animal Care will no longer be warehousing Aggressive/ Behavioral Rescue Only Animals for long extended periods of time, sometimes for almost two years much to the detriment of the animals mental health in a misguided effort to Save Them All and become a model shelter for No Kill as the former Shelter Director Kaviani attempted to implement at OC Animal Care. Poor Belle! Just continually being exploited! Belle was never a bait dog, that has been confirmed by the dog warden from the pound Belle came from. Steffen Baldwin made that entire story up to exploit Belle for donations and Social Media recognition! ... Now Belle is with the people below, you know the people that brought and allowed Steffen into elementary schools to teach school children about anti bullying and anti animal cruelty and allowed Steffen Baldwin to push a false narrative to school children about Belle being a bait dog. And their continual silence and crickets regarding working side by side with Steffen Baldwin who is now facing 42 felony and misdemeanor charges for the past 2 years and bringing Steffen Baldwin in the class room to teach school children is very telling of who and what they are! Just Sick! These people who abuse and exploit animals have no shame. It is up to the animal community and animal advocates to share what they know. There are no laws that protect animals from unscrupulous dog trainers, groomers or rescues.

Facts! Steffen Baldwin could not be bothered to even pick up his own dog’s ashes after Rocky’s death. Yet all these people and rescues trusted him with dogs!

Update on Sheba Case! San Bernardino Board of Supervisors meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15th 2020 to show support for Sheba, meeting starts at 10:00am. ... San Bernardino County Government Center 385 N Arrowhead Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92415 Paw Protectors Rescue Statement to the SB BOS at their last Board Meeting. Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. My name is Sharon Logan, I am a resident of Huntington Beach Ca, and I have operated my Non Profit Paw Protectors Rescue for 10 years. I am also the plaintiff in the successful lawsuit Logan vs OC Animal Care which was the game changer that brought much needed shelter reform to OCAC. Everybody who works for the county and the community understands that you the members of this Board of Supervisors are the ones that make the final decisions in regards to County Matters. We are asking that this BOS step up and be on the right side of this equation and help us spare Sheba’s life. Despite the nomenclature of 'menacing' or 'vicious' dogs, we ask this Board of Supervisors to actually please consider and address that human error is why Sheba is where she is at today, Sheba is as much a victim as any pets who may have been harmed by Sheba. There should be more confirmation of facts before approving to end the life of an animal that doesn’t deserve it. We have no doubt that Sheba’s owner loves her very much, and we are all in agreement with Devore and the County that Sheba should not be allowed to return to her previouso home. We are in disagreement that because Sheba can’t return to her home that Sheba should lose her life. A dog is a dog and doesn’t understand human laws. Sheba deserves a second chance with a rescue approved by this board, out of the jurisdiction of San Bernardino County. We ask this Board to choose the path of truth, compassion and life for Sheba and reject that of lies, false pride and ego, that has been displayed by the powers that be at Devore who wish to end the life of Sheba.

Go Bryan Pease!! It’s about time! Thank you. Last month sources within the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department put out a call to help dozens of German Shepherds abandoned on unimproved land in the desert. The alleged owner, who runs an illegal online business selling "protection dogs" for upwards of $15,000 each, had just been arrested on animal cruelty charges. The community sprang into action, rescuing the dogs, providing veterinary care, and adopting them out to good homes.... But now the San Bernardino Sheriff's department is showing up at volunteer animal rescuers' homes with search warrants in California and Nevada, seizing phones and computers, and threatening to bring criminal charges against the rescuers if the dogs are not returned to their abusers!
