PATH provides outreach in the City of La Mesa - City Hall through the Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement (HOME) program. The HOME Team works in collaboration with La Mesa Police Department to connect unhoused residents to services and housing opportunities. Watch a day in the life of our Outreach Specialist, Matt, who connects our unhoused neighbors in La Mesa to much needed resources.
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! PATH San Diego is in need of volunteer drivers to pick up food donations from Trader Joe's on Thursday nights and deliver them to our residents at our interim housing facility. Please email Sigrid at [email protected] if interested!
Swipe to see a before and after of our storage closet after volunteers from Insight Global spent the entire day organizing our storage spaces! Thank you for beautifying our entire storage closet, clothing closet, art supply closet, e-waste closet, and the emergency food pantry. We could not have done this without your support! We are so grateful for your dedicated volunteerism and service to empowering communities!

Thank you Hispanos Unidos for highlighting our one-year anniversary and 25,000th meal delivered to our clients. For #BlackHistoryMonth, we would like to celebrate our Black owned businesses, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and partners who have supported our mission to end homelessness. Today we are highlighting Chris Richardson, the founder of Black Titan FTC in San Diego and dedicated PATH partner. Black Titan FTC's mission is to help service underserved communities and individuals in need, to improve Public and Community Relations with aspirations of creating their very own educational r...ec center. In July of 2019, Chris and his team started Hope for the Homeless - a kickoff event hosted by Black Titans FTC that encouraged donations of clothes, toiletry kits, and snacks for our new residents at PATH. Since then, they have held coat drives for the winter and delivered meals for PATH Cooks Mobile Delivery. Thank you for your endless support and helping our unhoused neighbors feel the love!
Meet Kevin! Kevin got connected to PATH after our outreach team visited his encampment that he had been living in for 8 years. With the help of our outreach specialists, he was able to make the necessary advancements in his life to seek work and housing. Now, he has a stable job for a moving company that is located just minutes from his new home! In his latest check in he told us, I’m looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life and all that this new year has to offer! Thank you to everyone who helped Kevin make it home!

As Congress turns its attention to an urgently needed COVID relief package, we’re asking Speaker Pelosi and her colleagues to include: $19 billion in rent assistance, to keep tenants in their homes and landlords economically afloat $5 billion for new Housing Choice vouchers, enabling more people to find stable permanent housing $5 billion to transition people experiencing homelessness from shelters into permanent supportive housing... Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) support for nonprofits and community organizations working on the ground to keep people safe and sheltered This pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on marginalized communities, including people experiencing homelessness. Many people will likely become homeless as a result of the economic downturn. We need this support from the federal government as soon as possible. Torrey Pines Church and Urban Angels spent Christmas Day prepping and cooking holiday meals for over 150 residents. Your continued support to make the holidays special is inspirational and we are incredibly grateful for all you do every year! Thank you and happy holidays!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to our PATH Family! We have faced many challenges this year, but because of your support 1,834 individuals, families, and Veterans will spend this holiday season in a home, instead of on the streets. Thank you for making this possible. #MerryChristmas #HappyHolidays
Just as we were down to our last few care kits one of our amazing volunteers hosted a drive and delivered 200 brand new care kits! Care Kits include new travel sized hygiene items and non-perishable snacks for our neighbors living on the streets. PATH street outreach teams distribute Care Kits to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and use them as an engagement tool to build relationships. Thank you to our amazing volunteers who make this program possible, we could not do this without your support!
This November, voters in the City of San Diego will weigh in on Measure A, a $900 million bond for affordable and permanent supportive housing. By serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness and lower income seniors, veterans, families, youth, and people living with disabilities, Measure A is an essential step toward ending chronic homelessness in San Diego!

Shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers who baked these delicious treats and wrote sweet handwritten notes for our residents this holiday season. Nothing is better during the holidays than homemade cookies and cute handwritten notes. With all these tasty treats, we were able to give a bag of cookies to every single one of our interim and permanent supportive housing residents. Thank you!
Today, our community confronts a daunting housing stability crisis. Too many people are living on our streets with very limited access to a home. PATH Ventures has responded to this crisis by expanding the supply of affordable and supportive apartments. We have over 1,500 affordable homes constructed or in the pipeline, but we need your support to continue building homes for our most vulnerable neighbors. Join us on November 5th for PATH Ventures Jazz Night at Home, a virtual concert that will benefit PATH Ventures' work to end homelessness by providing stable homes: http://www.pvjazznight.com/.
Jazz Night is only two weeks away! Proceeds benefit PATH Ventures' work to end homelessness by providing stable homes. We want all of our guests to enjoy this evening to the fullest, so be sure to purchase your tickets before VIP ticket sales end tomorrow: https://fb.me/e/2ZMo9Mwu3.
Our San Diego team distributed USDA food boxes to residents this weekend. A little care can go a long way in protecting the dignity and safety of our unhoused neighbors. We were joined by Congressman Scott Peters, State Senate President Toni Atkins, Assemblyman Todd Gloria, and our friends at Jewish Family Services. Thanks to all who participated!
During this month's episode, Veteran Homelessness: They Protected Our Country, We Protect Them, PATH leaders and frontline workers, along with our partners, will discuss our work to end homelessness for the nation's heroes - a particularly timely conversation, with Veterans Day right around the corner.
Residents and staff at PATH communities statewide are registering to vote before the deadline on Oct. 19! Will you join us in making your voice heard? Learn more: https://registertovote.ca.gov/
PATH Ventures Jazz Night is only three weeks away! All proceeds from this event will benefit PATH Ventures’ work to end homelessness by providing the stable homes and ongoing support people need to lead healthy, productive lives. Visit www.pvjazznight.com to get your tickets!
We're looking forward to providing services to unhoused Mission Valley residents now that the SD Housing Commission unanimously approved the use of Residence Inn. Grateful for the support of Councilmember Scott Sherman and Councilmember Chris Ward https://bit.ly/3jZnp2r
San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer visited The Link in San Diego on Monday. Together with our partners at Affirmed Housing, we're working hard to help unhoused San Diegans. We appreciated the chance to share that work and introduce Mayor Faulconer to some of our residents.
Our work in San Diego has shown us just how badly the city needs more affordable housing. That's why PATH is supporting Measure A, along with a coalition of other community organizations, to fund the construction of more units that can get people off the street and into homes. Learn more about Measure A and how it will lessen the homelessness crisis at a virtual panel, hosted by the Jewish Family Service of San Diego, on 10/15 at 12pm: https://bit.ly/2SH5kKp
PATH Cooks Mobile has delivered over 15,000 meals since April 27, 2020. This would not be possible without the incredible support of the San Diego community. And a huge thank you to Quincy who not only works security but makes sure the meal delivery drivers get their routes and the right number of meals every single day. It takes a village!
We are so excited to announce our new partnership with Pancakes: Serving up Hope. Every Saturday these incredible individuals prepare and serve a delicious pancake brunch for all of our interim residents. Their mission is to bring awareness to homelessness by providing a meal to those in need and fostering a community built on love and faith. This is what community collaboration is all about, thank you all!
