On this very very stormy, wet and windy Wednesday I wanted to share some fun facts in hopes you’ll do the same! I want to hear your likes, your dislikes, places you like to go, food you like to eat or really anything you think is worth sharing! I’m Summer. The maker, manager, bookkeeper, cleaning service, social media publisher, photographer and smart ass behind @pasoroblesmom... I hand make each and every trucker/baseball hat in my home hat studio. I’ll even be coerced into making cute visors on occasion. I keep hats in stock in ALL sizes for anyone in the family. Infant hats fit as little as 3 month olds and they have the tiniest little snaps on the back I’ve ever seen. There are small youth hats, larger youth, low profile adult truckers, traditional boxy truckers... and I now also carry several Flexfit snapbacks for men claiming to have giant heads. I love making all the hat ideas you send my way or original ideas I come up with. I make hats for any occasion and I make hats almost everyday of the year. When I’m not in my office creating you’ll probably find me at the gym, out to dinner or enjoying an adult beverage with friends. I also love soaking up my husband and family. I love spending time with friends. I love the beach. I love live music, traveling and I love getting tattoos. I love to eat. Sushi, Thai, Indian and Mexican are my favorites. My husband is a home chef and cooks incredible meals that belong photographed and published. He also grows beautiful gourmet mushrooms. I love champagne and red and white wines. We make one barrel of wine each year from the 150 Primitivo grapevines we planted in our backyard. We also make olive oil from our 6 olive trees. We have 7 chickens, 2 tuxedo kittens, a 15 year old chihuahua and just threw an Australian Labradoodle puppy into the mix. We have quite the suburban funny farm. I’m terrified of snakes and spiders. I can’t handle watching scary movies with both eyes open. I highly dislike glitter and hospitals. Well I’m sure that’s enough info for one day. Give yourself grace. I was told that a lot while recovering from colon resection surgery. When days are tough, I remember those powerful words. I take a deep breath and try to simply BE. The last 12 months feel as if the whole world got colon cancer. The stress, fear and uncertainty are palpable everywhere I go. So once again, I’ll give myself grace and all those around me.... We have no experience in navigating today’s divided climate but I can choose to control myself, my attitude, my actions and just be.
