Happy Holidays Everyone, Coach Jaws Bulivou homeland of Fiji was hit this week by Cyclone Yasa which caused a lot of damage to some of the islands and villages. Sadly just a week before Christmas many lost their homes and everything in it. In lieu of our usual holiday white elephant we are hosting a HOLIDAY DRIVE at the tank from Mon 21st Dec thru Fri 8th Jan. We are asking for donations of the following items:... Blankets Jackets Shoes Anyone is welcome to donate and drop off these items to the tank between 3.30-6.30pm, Mon- Fri. Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this horrific cyclone in Fiji. Let’s all get behind Coach Jaws in his wish to provide what we can to these needy families.

Hello Shark Tank Family! As many of you know, we are reopening full time today,Monday June 15. If you have borrowed equipment, please make sure to return it this week. Someone should be at the Tank every day from 3:30-7pm for equipment drop off and on Saturday from 8am-10am! If you aren’t sure if you need to bring equipment back, please ask @veronicacruz99 ... My dream has always been to create an inclusive and welcoming community regardless of background, race, belief or sexual orientation. One love! We are ...proud of our uniquely diverse community/family at the shark tank. That has often set us apart! Our shark-tank family has been known to have the loudest cheering squad, because that's what we do! We show up for each other. In light of the current climate with CrossFit, we want to make it clear that we at the shark tank do not condone, support or align our values with that of Greg Glassman’s, (CEO and founder of CrossFit) absolute thoughtless and degrading comments from CrossFit HQ this past weekend. It has become very clear that we have some serious decisions to make with regards to our future and our affiliation with CrossFit. We need a complete change at the head of CrossFit so we as a community at large can recover and revitalize in the right direction. Until that happens, we plan to not renew our affiliation with CrossFit unless we see very clear & necessary changes that need to be made with CrossFit's CEO and leadership at HQs. One thing is clear - that our priority is to ensure that our Shark Tank - Team KaiWai and all of you (our members) are our top commitment. Whatever direction we decide to move in will reflect our core values of inclusion for ALL, and that we are ONE TEAM in that. (One works/rest) **BUY IN: 400 meter run (together) Then 10 rds TOTAL (5 rds each) -3 devil press(1 dumbbell only) Partner A will do 3 devil press then Partner B will do 3 devil press... (same for goblet and air squats) -12 goblet squats -20 air squats(body weight) ** DB weight 45/30 *this is 1 round.... CASH OUT: double unders Partner A does: 24 DU Partner B does: 23 DU Partner A does: 22 DU Partner B does: 21 DU And so on until you get to zero. Athletes, There is a lot of response to the Coronavirus-19 pandemic and I want to address how we are reacting. We have always encouraged hygiene to minimize the impact of any contagious diseases. I believe that maintaining your fitness is helpful in reducing the impact of sickness. Therefore, we will continue to operate at this time. ... Our protocol for cleaning is athletes are the primary agents for cleaning their equipment after each use. We use the anti-bacterial, anti-viral cleaning agent Cavicide in the spray bottles. We also encourage washing your hands before and after each workout. The bathrooms and spot floor and equipment are cleaned throughout weekdays and on the weekends, the floor and equipment is cleaned with a disinfectant. With the added pandemic, we will start to include hand washing as part of the warm up and cool down with each WOD. We will also require spraying and cleaning of ALL hard surface or non-porous equipment used, regardless of how long during the session. Refrain from hand shaking or close personal contact. We have always used fist bumps and that is certainly less contact than a hand shake or hug, but consider elbow bumps, foot bumps, Spock Live Long and Prosper sign, or no contact for the time being! If you are sick in any way, please stay home! It’s the right thing to do for you and everyone else. We can get through this AND maintain our fitness!
