Pasadena rental property owners are invited to the Apartment Buildings Conference & Expo at the Pasadena Convention Center on October 2, 2019 Come join City of Pasadena Housing Department staff at the free Apartment Buildings Conference and Expo at the Pasadena Convention Center from 9am-4pm on Wednesday, October 2nd. Visit our booth for a small gift, to ask questions, or just to say hi. This free event includes vendor booths, giveaways, industry speakers, and expert panels geared toward rental property owners. We recommend Making Vouchers Work for You on Stage 2 at 2:30pm. All attendees at this panel will be eligible to win a $150 gift card from Lowes and other prizes.

The list of projects that will be included in the City of Pasadena's 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) can be found online at https://pasadenapartnership.org/coc-application/. The Pasadena CoC Board, informed by an independent Grants Evaluation Panel, reviewed the renewal and new project proposals for the CoC application and assigned each application a score out of 100 points. Projects will be ranked according to the overall score they received. Check back by September 30, 2019 to view the full Consolidated Application that will be submitted on behalf of the Pasadena CoC.

Pasadena Fair Housing Survey Attention Community Stakeholders and Representatives: The City of Pasadena’s Department of Housing will conduct a Community Survey over the next 3 months to gauge the overall experience of fair housing in the community. As part of the Housing & Urban Development (HUD) regulations, the City is required to conduct an Analysis of Impediments to fair housing. The report will help the City to develop a plan of action to further fair housing. The first step of the analysis is to gain the community’s input through a survey. This survey is for City of Pasadena residents only!

Make a New Year's resolution that counts by volunteering for the 2019 Pasadena Homeless Count on January 22 & 23! The Homeless Count is a community-wide undertaking only made possible with the support of dedicated volunteers who serve as the backbone for gathering this critical information. We need volunteers to sign up by Monday, January 7th using the following link: https://pasadenapartnership.org/volunteer-homeless-count/. Please consider signing up today and spread the w...ord! By volunteering you will: - Help inform the state of homelessness in Pasadena - Help raise awareness and bring about long-term change for people experiencing homelessness - Help advocate for vital community resources Volunteers will be sent in teams of 2-3 to an assigned zone on the night of Jan 22 (8-10 p.m.) & the morning of Jan 23 (6-8 a.m.). The same teams go out both times.
