Our Virtual Women's Seminar is rapidly approaching! If you haven't bought your ticket, get it today! Let's meet some of our speakers! First up, Britt Davenport! Our amazing fly tyer! Britt grew up in Northern Michigan, and made her way west in 2008, to settle in Lewiston Idaho. She started fly fishing back in 2012. Her husband Brian has fished for years and I wanted to join him in it. They joined their local club and with his help, and others, she learned the basics. Short...ly thereafter, she learned to tie my own flies, and well, the rest is history. Britt will be tying a Humpy and Peacock Carey Special! Fly patterns will be provided for you to tie along! https://www.pasadenacastingclub.org/content.aspx

Fly Fishing Southern Utah with Steve Dawson Being born and raised in Ohio cultivated my interest in fishing. As a young musician, I moved to Las Vegas in 1994 to work as a saxophonist in several showrooms on the strip. Knowing the rivers and streams of southern Utah were only a short drive away, I found myself taking opportunities to escape the desert. My escapes went from weekend fishing trips to week-long adventures, allowing me the opportunity to fish in varying water leve...ls and through seasonal tendencies. Eventually I moved to Cedar City to feed this healthy addiction full time. It is our goal to read an customer's needs and provide them with the most enjoyable day on the water possible. An angler should feel like a buddy is showing off his favorite fishing holes. Come fish Southern Utah! October Monthly Meeting Recap, Maury Hatch

The Pasadena Casting Club 15.07.2020

TONIGHT!! October 8, 2020 07:00 PM Maury Hatch Bay Area and Beyond... Web Conference, via Zoom (See details below) Topic: October Monthly Meeting Time: Oct 8, 2020 07:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada) Maurice Richard Hatch was born in Marin County, CA and moved to Sacramento with his family when he was 4 years old. As the third child of four, he was always interested in animals of all kinds. His first love was birds, then reptiles, finally focusing on fish at the age of 15. He was fortunate enough to have a grandfather who had a private bass pond in the foothills of Northern California, and was greatly influenced by his grandfather and uncles who were avid bass and trout fishermen. As a senior in high school, he was introduced to fly fishing by some close friends. After that, he was hooked and decided to forget conventional fishing and only pursue fish on the fly. He has also had careers as a ski instructor/coach and restaurant manager as well as racing road bikes before focusing his full-time attention on guiding. Maury has been fly fishing the western United States and Mexico for 35+ years. After honing his skills with trout, he hooked his first Striped Bass in 1995, and has been chasing, catching, and releasing stripers ever since. As a Captain, he guides out of the San Joaquin Delta from a center console bay boat in the fall and spring, and then works from a jet sled on the Feather and American Rivers in the summer for stripers, small mouth bass and shad. All trips include top-of-the-line equipment as well as custom-tied flies. Maury is also an ambassador level, pro-staffer for the following products: Costa sunglasses, Simms clothing, Sage rods, RIO lines and Galvan reels. He is the co-Event Manager for the Costa Bass-N-Fly Tournament and annually hosts trips to Baja with Gary Bulla, to Tarpon Cay Lodge in the Yucatan and Christmas Island. Repost from BOD Steve T.. During these crazy times, I am grateful to have spent some quality time with my son, Eric, on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. As expected, The Ranch provided us with some challenging targets, but we started to get it dialed in. Beautiful scenery and a great time!
