I realize that our adoption fees for pet only pups have been much less in the past. We have increased our adoption fees as we say, "Bye bye to 2020." If your f...riend or relative got a puppy from us, please let them know that our adoption fees have increased. Fees are subject to change as popularity and the demand for pups increases. I keep my fees generously comparable and put a lot of work into each litter. I pretty much work all the time. In fact, it's midnight as I type this and I'm STILL working. Shih Tzus are a breed that most allergy sufferers can own and are not allergic to. This is a main adoption/selling point for this breed. They are excellent family dogs and do very well with children and other pet species. Shih Tzus tend to bond and love everyone in the family. They are incredibly loyal dogs. Shih Tzus are "velcro dogs" and will follow you anywhere. Don't like it? Don't get a Shih Tzu. They were literally made to worship humans. They have no other purpose other than to love you. Fact. Shih Tzus were my number one breed of choice when I started out with fun pet therapy years ago. (No, I will never have Chihuahuas, please stop asking) Shih Tzus require a lot of grooming, yet still look cute with short haircuts. Pomeranians can be extremely fragile dogs. I can't stress this enough, "Pomeranians are fragile and this is why I don't recommend them for children under 7 years old." I know that there are children that are exceptions to this rule. Pomeranians require a lot of grooming. They are a breed that sheds. In my own personal opinion, Pomeranians have a higher intelligence than most of my Shih Tzus. We can argue this all day long, but most of you don't raise and live with both breeds in your home, so . Pomeranians are known for bonding to one or two family members the most. While they are still wonderful family dogs, they are highly intelligent and in tune with certain people.I don't have a scientific fact to share, but trust me when I say that Pomeranians are going to try your patience with how intelligent they are. Love them anyway, as they are little fur balls of energy and love and will impress you daily. When we had our serendipitous litter of PomShihs over a year ago, I was devastated when I realized what they were. Fast forward to now and I get more requests for PomShihs than purebred Poms or Shih Tzus. Mixed breed dogs are not for everyone. If you have followed me long enough, you know where those negative opinions about mixed breed dogs can go ....There is no need to bash a breeder because they created something great that you refuse to comprehend. Please move along and focus your energy on something more important. Please know that we will never have a problem adopting out PomShihs because once you meet them, you fall in love. Our dogs are adopted out on contracts because we care about every single puppy that leaves our family. Last but not least, I am very picky about who adopts my puppies. You either love or hate my honesty, but I have no reason to put up a front in order to adopt out my pups. I'm honest because my dogs and pups' best interest comes first, not your reflex to impulse buy . If you still like me after reading this, how can I help you get on one of our waiting lists?
