Veteran’s Day at Papacitos is still happening. There is nothing in this world that can stop us from honoring the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our freedom. This is our favorite day of the year and there’s no way we would miss serving the Men and Women who have so selflessly served this country. We understand that Covid-19 has made this a little more difficult than years past so here’s the plan; as we do every year Veteran’s will get a free meal when ...dining in, if you are high risk or don’t feel comfortable dining in we will do curbside service for you instead. Please just bring some kind of Military ID if possible. If you’re a fire victim or don’t have your ID just let us know and we’ll get it figured out. We want to serve as many as we can, as safely as we can. Come see us on Wednesday November 11th from 11am-8pm. We don’t know them all, but we owe them all! We’ve been so blessed since reopening! Thanks for keeping us so busy. Just a heads up we will be closing on Tuesdays going forward. We are still having a really hard time hiring and we just don’t have the staff to be open 7 days a week right now. Hopefully this will be short term but we shall see. Thanks for your understanding! Drumroll please... Papacitos will be open for business tomorrow, Monday October 19th! Please be patient, we will probably be VERY busy and this will be the staff’s first day back. We rushed to get this done and get our doors back open as soon as we could. We can’t wait to see you all, and for you to see what we’ve done with the place! Thank you for your patience and continued support as we rebuild from this ridiculous amount of downtime. We love this community so much!

Hello everyone! Thank you all for your patience. I’m getting tons of messages every day asking about when we are opening. As soon as I know for sure, I will let everyone know. As of this moment we are planning on opening Monday October 19th but please check back as we’ve hit more than our fair share of bumps trying to get up and running. If our remaining staff all return and we are able to get all our food prepped by Monday that is our plan. Again I will update everyone as soon as we are sure. Sorry if I haven’t personally responded to your messages. We’ve got a lot going on right now. We appreciate your hanging in there with us and we can’t wait to see all your smiling faces back at our tables!!

UPDATE: interviews are going to be held at Papcitos. There will be a note on the door at the other location. Due to the volume of applications and the amount of positions we have available we will be conducting open interviews this week on Wednesday September 30th and Thursday October 1st from 11-2pm. Just wanted to take a second and say WE STAND with all the other Resturants in BUTTE COUNTY opening for dine in. Even though we are still impatiently waiting on our repeatedly delayed repairs to finish, we plan on joining in on this stand as soon as we are able. Thank you for the support and love you are all showing all your local businesses. We will be here to take care of our own, like we always are, no matter what. Papacitos is still closed but our parking lot is open to evacuees and our WiFi also. WiFi is Papacitos and password is the same. Feel free to use if needed. Praying for our community. Here to help however we can. Stay safe everyone!

Here is the update, we are in the home stretch, paint, floors then cleaning and putting everything back. We’ve got our fingers crossed for just a couple more weeks. Please believe if I could speed this process up I would. There was major damage, permits to replace drywall and many many delays due to Covid. Please spread the word as I’ve again been hearing rumors that we are closing permanently which are 10000% UNTRUE. Thanks for your patience, we can’t wait to welcome you all back soon!!

So just got the call from our contractor, looks like we’re gonna be down longer than we expected... this is not the news I wanted to have for you but we will be using this time to get everything dialed in and ready to be the best version of Papacitos possible when we open. Depending on permits and shipping of materials we’re looking at at least another month. I almost cried when they told me, I’m sorry!! We are pushing them to finish this as quickly as possible. We’ve kept our employees paid and haven’t received a dollar from the insurance as of yet so please believe we want to reopen as quickly as possible and are just as anxious as all of you to be done with this! Hope to be giving good news on the next update.

Hey everybody. Thank you all for the love, support, and patience. I know everyone is ready for Papas to be back up and running... here’s the update. All the water damage is finally taken care of. They tested to make sure there was no mold or anything else and everything passed. We just got word the repair estimate to fix all the damage caused by the flood and the drying of the water was sent to our insurance for approval. Once approved, we can begin repairs which should be the easy part! We have been busy doing some much needed upgrades to the Cantina while we’ve been closed and we’re hoping to welcome you all back in about 2 weeks

Update: unfortunately we are still closed. We’ve been at the mercy of our insurance company and things are moving much slower than we anticipated. We are hoping to have more news by this weekend but anticipate we will remain closed part way into next week. We miss you all and will be open again the moment we are able.
