A message from our Executive Director, Julie Moe Reynolds: Like most companies in the live entertainment industry, Palos Verdes Performing Arts (PVPA) has been hit hard by this pandemic. It was only weeks ago that we were heavily focused on producing our roster of shows for the current season and preparing for our next season. But when the news broke with a ruling on public gatherings, we had to put the brakes on and focus on the health and safety of our patrons and staff. Be...cause we are a small venue, (smaller than many church gatherings) we see that our theatre may be permitted to gather again late this summer. We are interested in your feedback about coming back to the PVPA’s Norris Theatre to enjoy a live performance. Please take this survey and help us prepare for our future. COVID-19 UPDATE as of March 12, 2020 To comply with the directive of the California Department of Public Health and a mandate from the County of Los Angeles, Palos Verdes Performing Arts has postponed all performances scheduled through March 31. If you are a ticket holder for one of these events, you will be contacted via phone or email.

The safety and security of our theatergoers and employees is our highest priority. Although LA County Department of Public Health reports there is currently no immediate threat to the general public, Palos Verdes Performing Arts (PVPA) will be implementing strategies recommended by the LA County Department of Public Health for our Norris Theatre and offices. As a performing arts center, we are proactively taking steps to prevent the spread of this infection at our venue. Please see the protocol listed below. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our dear Chris Gilbert, who passed away peacefully yesterday. Many of you knew him as our Director of Marketing, Sales & Public Relations and as the producer of our Produced Series for the last three seasons. He was the bright smile and warm handshake that welcomed you to our theatre and made us laugh daily with his wit and good humor. What a gift it was to work alongside him. We were inspired daily by his crea...tivity and talent. In short, he was an amazing human being and we will miss him dearly. In the words of his beautiful wife, Kimberly, Now please go hug your loved ones tightly, raise a glass to a man that was truly one of a kind, and spread love in this world. She added, Go make art and give your gifts to the world. One last quote during the first rehearsal for each new show, Chris would give a tour of the theater and leave the actors with, remember, each performance is someone’s first show and someone’s last show. Thank you, Chris, for making our shows truly remarkable and sharing your light with our audiences, actors, musicians, tech crew, and those that were lucky enough to share an office with you.
