Get off the sidelines and into the game this Fall! Enroll in Digital Broadcast Arts 240, Basic News Television and Sports. In this class, students fan out all over San Diego County covering high school football matchups under the Friday night lights. That footage is then turned into a 30-minute highlight show entitled Prep Sports Live, and broadcasts live from Palomar College’s state of the art broadcast studio, with students controlling every aspect of the production proce...ss. This award-winning program has sparked the careers of many sports reporters and journalists alike and credits are transferable to four-year institutions. The class is open to high school juniors and seniors as well as first time enrollees. Enroll in CINE105: The Horror Film! With legions of fans and detractors alike, the horror film is one of the most popular, varied and complex film genres. What makes them so revolting and dreadful yet keeps us coming back and unable to look away? CINE105 asks this question and others in a survey of some of the greatest, and most maligned, horror films of all time. Film screenings include classics from the 1930s through recent releases within US and international contexts. The online course is meant to appeal to anyone interested in film in general as well as to the horror aficionado. For more information contact John McMurria at [email protected] and enroll today at palomar.edu!
