This Spring we had three volunteer work weekends. THANK YOU to ALL of our volunteers who trekked up the mountain to help clean up the camp and prepare for summer! The camp grounds look AMAZING!!! Our staff is excited to serve all our campers and guests who will enjoy this beautiful place God has blessed us with here at Palomar Christian Conference Center. Here are some projects our volunteers accomplished at Palomar this Spring: Cleared a LOT of brush on our trails and range...s, dug out storm ditches at the barn, raked leaves, poured concrete, removed carpet, built bunk beds in Spruce, split wood, cleaned up fallen branches, filled in potholes in the road, organized the grounds maintenance shed, and much more! We cannot say thank you enough for your servant’s hearts and willingness to invest your valuable time here at Palomar. Camp vehicles, golf carts, maintenance & kitchen equipment, washers, dryers, vacuums, etc. often get the brunt of the workload, but they also help our staff do their jobs more efficiently. This weekend we are having our last Spring Volunteer day! We have been so blessed to have MANY of you come help with our March & April work projects. The camp is looking great! However, we still have a few more projects to complete before our summer staff, campers & guests arrive & we could use your help! Encourage your family and friends to come help! Projects will be done in the morning and afterward our kitchen staff will provide a delicious lunch. Activities open in the a...fternoon for you to enjoy. Palomar also covets your prayers! Each of the next four Mondays in May we will highlight different ways you can donate to Palomar Christian Conference Center. For this May Donor Monday we are featuring our Horse program! Jamie Anderson has advanced our horse program over the past 7 years and our staff has done an amazing job caring for them. However, sometimes we have to say farewell to some of our horse friends over time and we need new ones to love. Please help us continue to bless our girl’s horse camp each summer as well as horse trails for our guest groups during the rest of the year.
