While simultaneously taking on the role of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Stanford University Men’s and Women’s Rugby Team. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness about the disease. Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women as it is estimated that 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. There are over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. This month, we want to honor those who are currently fighting breast cancer, the survivors, and honor the memory of those who have passed. Over this last weekend our Sports Council Team was honored to be the recipient of the ACA Sports Council Chapter of the Year Award for the second year! Our team is honored and thankful to be the recipients of this award! This great achievement would not have been possible without our outgoing 2019-2020 Sports Council Executive Team. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, we were able to attend many amazing events this year such as Turkey Trot, The North Face Endurance Cha...llenge, and the Valor Games, along with some great outside learning opportunities like PFCS and SFMA! Despite having our in-person events end abruptly due to unforeseen circumstances, the team was able to adapt quickly and continue to provide us with amazing learning opportunities online. The creation of the online series of Coffee with a Doc and Tips & Chiro Tricks Tuesdays kept us all entertained and engaged as we were sheltering in place. Thanks to the dedication and effort of the outgoing 2019-2020 Sports Council Executive Team we were able to win Chapter of the Year back to back! Thank you 2019-2020 Executive Team!!
