The Palm Springs Preservation Foundation is happy to announce the award of a $100,000 grant to the Aluminaire House Foundation. The 1931 Aluminaire House, designed by architects Albert Frey and A. Lawrence Kocher, arrived from New York, unassembled, in Palm Springs, California, in February of 2017. The PSPF grant is intended to aid in the assembly and display of the historic structure. The Aluminaire House Foundation passed a major milestone this summer when it received a Certificate of Appropriateness from the city’s Historic Site Preservation Board to allow for the siting of the Aluminaire House on the grounds of the Palm Springs Art Museum.
