Estella Scrooge is the first digital theatre piece filmed entirely during the pandemic. The production is a dazzling cinematic musical theatre adventure. It was filmed using tracked green screen techniques, with 3-D surreal digital environments created in post-production and merged with the actual footage of the actors in a brand-new way. For more information: http://pcpa.org/estellascrooge/... "The creative team nimbly learned new techniques to bring the actors and their characters together, said director/co-writer John Caird. Co-writer/composer Paul Gordon added, This piece was a joy to create, from the first beat of the idea to the culmination of the film. now it’s more important than ever to escape for a few hours with a message of love and hope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvtwnjmAhuA

We are pleased to recognize Diane Camacho on her 35th anniversary of volunteering for PCPA. Diane first joined our team of volunteer ushers in 1985, when she had young children at home, and decided that she and a friend (also a young mother) should have a regularly scheduled girl’s night out! A few years later, her friend moved out of state, but Diane continued to volunteer throughout her 30-year career as a fulltime teacher with the Orcutt School District and she has encou...raged family members to volunteer along the way. In the 1990’s, her daughter Vanessa volunteered with her and more recently, husband Sergio has volunteered for several years. We would also like to acknowledge that, in addition to Diane’s 35 years of volunteer usher support, Diane’s family served as host family to foreign-exchange student Alex Guersman prior to his acceptance to PCPA's Conservatory (Class of 2019). Not sure what to dress up as for Halloween tomorrow?! We've got some suggestions - Witches or pirates or mermaids? Oh my! How about Morticia or King Arthur or Pinnochio, if you have some time! Maybe princesses or queens or mystical beings are your style? Or maybe just eating some candy for a while.
