Thank you parents and staff who helped to support the Book Fair and spaghetti dinner! To the volunteers who gave five minutes or hours of your time; parents who purchased books for their kids; and staff who helped financially or just by being excited about the week's events: you ALL helped make it a wonderful time for the kids! The smiles on the kids faces is worth it all, and the new books in the library will be enjoyed for years to come!

This is a wonderful lesson on why we need to keep our kids reading! If they say it bores them, help them look until they find the genre that interests them! All learning is based on how good your reading skills are. Don't let your child fall behind! :) We LOVE to hear the kids so excited about books. How they plot their reading time perfectly with library day, leaving just enough pages to slowly savor that last day! Get a new book just for Spring Break!!

Don't forget!!! Parents' Club will be serving a pasta dinner to help all our busy parents and staff out on Open House night, so cross making dinner off your "to do" list! It's the Famous Lane Family recipe, enjoyed at Pacific Union since the 80's! We will be cooking for 150! Also, we will have the Book Fair open. Make sure to stop in and add a book or two to your home library, AND the school library as all proceeds will help replenish the shelves our students have access to!

Day two of the book fair was equally successful as the first day! Two more classes in the morning, then it's prep time for spaghetti dinner. It's not too late to help, we can really use it when it's time to serve! Dinner: 5:45-7:00. Adult meal, $6.00; child meal, $4.00 Book Fair: 6:00-7:15

Hey fellow Skunker Parents!! We are looking forward to a very fun week ahead! Tuesday - Thursday we are hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. Watch for your child's day and time. You will also be able to visit with your family during Open House from 6:00-7:15. Last year we raised OVER $2000 for our library! Also, let us cook dinner for you. From 5:45-7:00 we will be hosting a spaghetti dinner in the cafeteria. Adult- $6, Child- $4. Limitied quantities, so get your reservation in!! We can use a little help too, PLEASE!! We have shifts available to help serve dinners. If you can help translate at the book fair especially, please let us know. Please help make this a fun and successful week!

Hi friends!!! We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break! Now it's time to plan a fun first half of 2013. Plan to be at our first Parents Club meeting of the year, Monday, January 14 at 6pm. Please watch for a note in your child's backpack. We have to start our cookie dough fundraiser. Can't wait to see you all!

Don't forget to send your order forms in for your shirts and sweatshirts!!! Wednesday is a FIRM deadline!!

We hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday. Remember Pacific Union shirts and sweatshirts are now on sale. It's a great way to show your school spririt and we'll get them just in time for the holidays. Enjoy the rest of your break. See you Monday :)

We can't wait to see all the parents and students at Back to School Night! Parents Club will be serving pizza and a bottle of water for $2 per person. Please join us from 5:45-6:30 for dinner, then enjoy visiting classrooms from 6:30-7:30.
