For all of the fans of Dolly Parton, here is one reason to love her even more: In a nut shell, here is what happened: Back in 2013, Dolly Parton was in a car accident. The surgeon who took care of her at Vanderbilt University was Dr. Naji Amubrad, and over time, the two developed a friendship. A discussion between Dolly Parton and Dr. Naji Amubrad in early March of 2020 about the state of Covid19 research then led Dolly Parton to make a million dollar donation to Vanderbilt... University in order to fund three Covid19 related research projects. One of those projects was directly related to the Moderna vaccine. According to Mark Denison, the director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University, Dolly's donation provided much needed resources which was crucial in helping to develop a high-quality test to be used during the vaccine trials. It was 2013 and Markus had the unfortunate task of informing my husband and I that our house was on the market and that we and our three sons would soon be receiving a notice of eviction as the new owner did not wish to have us continue on as renters.
