We are thrilled to unveil this new video and recording of Vienna Teng's astonishing song #HymnofAcxiom. These stunning visuals are the work of video artist Bob Whitehill, the brilliant audio mix is by Bryan Matheson of Skyline Studios. Arrangement by the talented Henrik Dahlgren. The video had its premiere this weekend during PEV’s "The Great Event" concert, inspired by Leonard Cohen's remarkable work of that name. Hymn of Acxiom illuminates our complex relationship to #technology, especially as felt during the #COVID #pandemic. Thank you, Vienna, for inspiring this artistic journey. We are excited to invite you to PEV's upcoming spring concert: The Great Event! Inspired by Leonard Cohen's work The Great Event, we have put together an online concert experience that includes musical and spoken works that, in Cohen's words, "seek to reverse the effects of the world's mad plunge into suffering." And we're excited to present the world premiere of a special music video that is truly out of this world! For this event, we'll once again use JackTrip Virtual Studi...o to bring your our ensemble singing in real time, via Zoom. And there's a bonus! You're invited to join us for a post-concert "reception" and Q&A with all our participating artists. Please join us to experience the joy and community we all long for, one year into the "mad plunge" of the coronavirus pandemic.
