We appreciate all the folks who drove through Christmas Tree Lane on opening night. And we thank those neighbors who walked practicing social distancing, mask wearing, and keeping within their family units. To ensure the health and safety of our community, though, we will continue to ask the public to drive rather than walk. We apologize for any conflicting information on other media listings and our own error in suggesting walking in relation to the F Street Railroad attraction. Christmas Tree Lane opens tonight at 6PM and runs nightly to 10pm thru 12/27. Please remember that we are asking all visitors to attend by car. The City of Oxnard and County Public Health officials have provided us with a bit of guidance for this year’s festivities. We ask that you do your part so we can make sure we stay open as planned. We encourage driving viewing instead of walking. Our friends at the @FstreetRailroad ask that If you do walk, make sure to follow the follo...wing guidelines: - stay warm - wear your mask - stay in your own group - practice physical distancing - keep your viewing to 15 minutes of less - Please stay on the outside of the candy cane fencing - Do not touch the trains or the display. The train display (The F Street Railroad) is set up and they plan on running, per the schedule below. They will run each night listed below from about 6-9. Ventura County has advised on what we can and cannot do. The good news is that Christmas Tree Lane can happen if you come to it as a drive through experience. We know that the majority of our visitors love to walk it with families, loved ones and friends but for 2020 we are going to ask you to drive it instead. This could be slightly frustrating for attendees as many of you may have experienced on peak days of Fridays and Saturdays. We have a plan we are working with the Oxna...rd Police Department but we need your help in making this happen. Please consider driving it on non peak attendance nights of Sunday thru Thursday. Do know that the F Street Railroad will not be operating on Mondays and Tuesdays but they have moved their display closer to the street. We will be doing live broadcasts on our Facebook page to show you more of the details than you have ever seen. Please do understand that some of our residents may opt not to decorate, or as much, as they normally do this year. We are all in this together. Do please include visiting Plaza Park this year.
