If you love eating fresh produce, what skills do you have to help the team teach the next generation how to grow their own food? We're looking to recruit a new Project Leader and other team members to get this project moving again. Like many things during COVID, this project was put on hold, but we're ready to start working again! There are SO MANY ways you can help! I'll post a detailed list in the comments, but most importantly, we're looking for a new Project Leader. I'm ...moving to a new state soon and I need to transition the project to someone new. The team, designs, budget, and other project information are already in place. Let's work together as a community and keep this amazing project going! How will YOU help?
Help feed your neighbors! We need a family (or 2) to build a produce stand for the Edible Schoolyard. The produce stand will help us share produce from the garden and provide a location where other neighbors can bring excess harvest to share with our community! https://www.pinterest.com/ahbriggs/produce-stand/

If you're new to gardening or just want to try something different, check out these ideas for square foot gardening. You can select a theme and they give you suggestions for what to grow, along with how many plants you can fit in each square foot of your garden!

On this beautiful day, the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we're announcing the re-opening of the Ocean View Edible Schoolyard as a Community Garden. Our long term vision always included bringing the families and community into the garden and the current environment has provided a perfect opportunity to make this dream a reality! Participating families (1 family at a time) will help plant, tend to, and harvest the food (and perhaps a few work projects as well). Stay tuned for a sign up sheet! How do you want to help?
