We are getting the fleet out of hibernation. Each van will spend time on the lift getting every inch looked over before we let them roam around Tahoe. We can't wait to get these beautiful vans back on the road and get you back exploring the basin.

We are slowly taking the fleet to winter storage. We will keep one van for late rental requests until the first snow.

For the fill-you-up-and-make-you-smile-all-day brunch, @firesigncafe is our spot. We usually have a plethora of drinks on the table. We always go for their fresh squeezed oj, coffee, and if we feel a little extra (or we had a little extra the night before), their homemade bloody mary or mimosa is in order. They have a good hearty meal for everyone like what you see here Fire Sign special, blueberry waffle with blue raspberry sauce, black bean burger, fresh-baked pastries, and some fresh, healthy salads.

We are pretty go-with-the-flow road trippers but feel that we have the best time with a bit of a plan in place. We like to have a general idea of where we will be sleeping, or a goal like: near water, in the forest, on a river, open sky, etc. We bring enough food for an extra dinner (just in case), we have warm coats and bathing suits on hand (because you never know what the weather will be like in the mountains), and we always have an abundance of coffee and beer. Ha! How d...o you plan your trips? Full plan-mode so you don't have to think about what road to take or where you will be camping? Or full no-plan-mode where you may end up in a Walmart parking lot or somewhere epic? What are your van trip essentials?

Spending the weekend in the shop finishing a Van Cafe / @rockymountainwesty Subaru conversion kit. The kit went together smoothly and we can’t wait to get her on the road.
