The smallest frog in Cuba and North America lives in Holguín, Cuba. This species of amphibian is called Monte Iberia Frog, also known by its scientific name: E...leutherodactylus Iberia, which measures approximately one centimeter. It is diurnal, its dorsal skin is weakly rough without dorsolateral folds, it has bright colors that warn that it is toxic, it emits a sound of high notes such as hisses and squeaks It inhabits the Sagua-Baracoa mountainous massif, over 600 meters of altitude, in areas where annual rainfall exceeds 1,600 millimeters, with very high relative humidity. It is in critical danger of extinction and to protect it, different actions are being developed in the Alejandro Humboldt National Park in favor of its conservation. See more
