HOLY MASS - MAY 16, 2021 If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have t...he gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. ... (1 Corinthians13:3-4) Our next Holy Mass is on Sunday, May16, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at SaintTimothy Church. Located at: 2960 Canyon Rd., Escondido, CA 92025-7402. We would welcome a soloist guest (Mrs. Sona Baghdassarian), who will be joining our Holy Mass by singing the Holy Mass hymens.

St. Sarkis the Warrior and His Son, St. Mardiros The feast day honoring St. Sarkis is movable. It occurs between January 11th and February 15th. Each year it follows the five-day Fast of Catechumens. Sarkis was a Greek from the area of Cappadocia on the Anatolian plain. He was a proud, brave Christian and served as a Roman army officer during the reign of Emperor Constantine (roughly 337 A.D.). Sarkis’ valor, strength, and bravery earned him the rank of general. Sarkis us...Continue reading

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (1 Corinthians 13:4) (Our Holy Mass will be for peace in Armenia and Artsa...kh) Our next Holy Mass is on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at Saint Timothy Church. Located at: 2960 Canyon Rd., Escondido, CA 92025-7402. --------------------------------------------------------- As most of you have probably seen, Armenia is under attack. With the help of the Turkish government, Azerbaijan launched a full-scale attack against Armenia and Artsakh this past Sunday. Hundreds of military and civilian deaths have been reported. Armenia and its people do NOT want war. Armenia is a country of 3 million people with a GDP of $13 billion (~$4k per capita) - a fraction of the size of Azerbaijan. Artsakh, the region where Azerbaijan initiated its attacks, has been home to Armenians for centuries, with still 90%+ of its inhabitants ethnically Armenian. Why is this happening? Turkey and Azerbaijan do not want Armenia to exist as a nation (goal to have a pan-Turkic state), and Azerbaijan believes that Artsakh belongs to them. From the massacres of the Armenians in the late 1800s to the commencement of the Armenian Genocide in 1915, these two countries have tried countless times to destroy this small, unimportant, landlocked, border-closed, Christian nation. Turkey is helping Azerbaijan in this attack. They have sent by plane Syrian rebel fighters to Azerbaijan to help and both countries held joint military exercises in late July. Why did this happen now? Aliyev, Azerbaijan's President, needed to act swiftly to maintain his dictatorship. Why was his power weakening? 90% of Azerbaijan's total export revenues are generated by oil. With the large drop in oil prices post-COVID, the country has struggled. What do all dictators do when they feel their power is diminishing? Anything nationalistic. The perfect solution is to start a war with Armenia and convince the Azeri people that Armenia is the aggressor (shut down social media in the country). What do we ask of you? Please help. we would greatly appreciate it. 1. Go to anca.org/alert to alert your politicians and condemn Azerbaijani aggression and cut off all US military aid to Baku. It will take 10 seconds. This is an already drafted letter to your Senators, US Representatives, and President Trump and VP Biden. You can review and modify it as you like. 2. Share content via your social media. Whether it be Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, you can educate others on the situation and raise awareness. This is likely the most powerful weapon, and it is imperative that the world knows the truth about what is going on. Legitimate media sources that are covering this well include @ZartonkMedia, @Armenian_National_Committee, @CivilNet, Al Jazeera, and BBC DONATE! all the donations should be for civilian and humanitarian aid and assistance and should be channeled through Armenia Fund at www.ArmeniaFund.org/Donate. Phone number 800-888-8897 or 818-243-6222. If you have any questions you can email also to [email protected]. Thank you for your attention (by Nick Cabraloff)
