Jason Ward at Windows Central is a futurist like us! Check out his story: http://ow.ly/rtvM30efQfm Here's the thing Facebook folks: innovation and technology never stops. So after the smartphone, there has to be a 'next.' We're building it. Our smartglasses are the mobile computer of tomorrow. Able to deliver all your familiar mobile favorites (hello, Android-based OS), mixed reality (hello, sensors, cameras, SLAM, 6DoF) and mobile AR (hello optics that allow us to go total...ly immersive). We get it. Everyone says 'but look at Google Glass.' If they couldn't do it, how can you? Here's the thing. We're not Google Glass. We're a highly powerful tablet in a less than 5 oz glasses form factor that users can pull out and use whenever you like, and put it away when you're done. Just like with your smartphone. Today, we think there's actually a lot of value in being able to carry a large, HD screen around with you wherever you are to consume your existing content on the go. Tomorrow, as digital content evolves and AR, VR and MR become more prevalent, you'll want a device that optimizes those experiences. Sure, it's cool to look at AR on your phone, but it's so much cooler to have your hands free to enable interaction and immersion. Currently, its the enterprise that's seeing the most value from a device like ours and that's our area of focus. But as this article points out, there's a bigger picture at play here. Our CEO has been doing headworn since the early '80s when he helped design the PVS-7 night vision goggles used in Desert Storm. He knew then, as he knows now, that the future is headworn. We're excited to be on this journey!

Feel good Thursday - we love what our ReticleConnect Partner NuEyes is doing with our smartglasses. Making the (partially blind) see is pretty cool stuff. Watch the video and learn more http://ow.ly/ycqc30e90o0
