Isn't this mask cute?! My partner's boss is so amazing! She sewed a collection of fun masks for her friends and family. This one has a pocket as well to fit a regular mask in it for extra filtration. She even gave me a bunch to give to my patients!!

I had my first home visit as an attending doctor today! To be honest, I did not think this would ever happen. I was born into a factory-like medical system after my training, and in such models, so many needs were unmet. Today’s request brings me so much joy - Parents are dealing with so much right now and want to keep themselves and their kids safe at the same time. I had to do so many things to adapt to the global pandemic (telemedicine, drive through testing, self testin...g station, drive through flu shot clinic, etc.). Today’s request was to see if I could bring the flu shots home instead of patients coming to me. It is amazing to see that the barriers can be broken when it is just me and the patients without the army of middlemen dictating the care or its delivery.
