We are so excited to welcome our patrons back to the Library. Regular open hours are now available. In order for the Library to qualify for a safe reopening we need patrons to follow the visiting guidelines. We are also following strict sanitary procedures to keep the Library building and materials safe and clean so that we can keep our staff and the public safe and stay open. Library materials will be quarantined for at least 48 hours before check-in so don't be concerned if you notice returned material still checked out in your account after it has been returned.

Wondering what to do for summer?

The Library will be closed Monday, May 31st, 2021, in observance of Memorial Day.

A reminder that the Library is a public cooling center. We will be closed on Monday for the holiday, but we will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday if anyone needs access to a cool space and water (we have a public water bottle filler- please bring your own bottle). We hope you stay safe and cool!

We are thrilled to participate in the latest Together We Read: US digital book club selection. From February 10 to 24, Orland Free Library patrons can enjoy author Kate Clayborn’s witty romance ebook and audiobook, Love Lettering, for free with no waitlists or holds. Readers can access the digital book by downloading the Libby app or visiting http://northnet.lib.overdrive.com, and then participate in an online discussion. Celebrate Valentine's Day with the Library! These new "storytime to go" kits with an adorable hedgehog craft are located in the children's section. Available for free when you check out books.

In order for the Library to qualify for a safe reopening we need patrons to follow the visiting guidelines. We are also following strict sanitary procedures to keep the Library building and materials safe and clean so that we can keep our staff and the public safe and stay open. Library materials will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before check-in so don't be concerned if you notice returned material still checked out in your account after it has been returned.

This is a great opportunity to help your community- and we really need you! The Library Commission needs a City resident to serve a two year term on the Library Commission. The Library Commission meets every other month, six times per year, to advise the City Librarian about policies and procedures at the Library. What a cool project!

A couple of tables of books- mainly Mysteries, Westerns, & SciFi/Fantasy will be available for sale outside the Library this Saturday (weather and staffing permitting).
