The #4 sign that tells you’re ready to foster is you’re adaptable to change. Helping a youth can bring different types of adventures in your everyday life, and change is inevitable. Orangewood Foundation’s Youth Connected Program is here to support you along the way. Learn more at www.orangewoodfoundation.org/YCP
You can make an impact in the life of a teen by learning what it means to become a foster mom, dad, aunt or uncle, or telling someone you know and admire that they might be a good candidate. With weekly information sessions every Wednesday night and Saturday morning, there's always time to make a difference. Helping a youth’s immediate needs can be the start of helping them build a better life. Gift a Kit of Hope this month to youth experiencing homelessness and help us reach 100 kits! You can drop kits off at the Orangewood offices on Fridays from 10am to 2pm. #restorehope4thehomelessof
We can confidently say our luncheon guests showed up (virtually!) for Orangewood youth, raising over $300,00. Thank you to all who attended!
Talon C. (right) donated more than 80 hygiene bags as his Boy Scout service project! We love seeing young community members making a difference. Thank you, Talon! (Pictured with Orangewood Community Engagement Manager, Humberto Rojas.)
Through a grant from Cal OES, last year Orangewood Foundation provided $246,000 to help youth with move-in deposits and expenses. Rent isn’t the only hurdle our youth face, so helping with these other costs makes renting an apartment possible for them.
Thank you to DentaQuest who did a team-building service project in October and donated oral hygiene items for our youth. Pictured accepting the donation is Humberto Rojas, Community Engagement Manager.
Be you. #MotivationalMonday
