Often times quick intervention can not only prevent a worsening problem, but can keep you active and help you achieve your personal goals. Honored to help this wonderful patient. Congrats to Scott on a tremendous feat that most never attempt or accomplish.

As a runner, I know first hand how important it is to stay with it even if things start to ache. New or worsening pain should never be ignored. Check out these great tips from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) to help stay active and fit.

In addition to performing all types of foot and ankle surgery, many ACFAS Foot and Ankle Surgeons are also experts in the treatment of lower extremity wounds. Below are photos from a recent patient, whom had developed a large wound to the shin after trauma. After 5 weeks of treatment, the wound has healed and he is back to his normal life. Wounds should be quickly evaluated and treated. Please feel free to contact us for an appointment at one of our Orange Co. offices and we will be happy to help you with your healing.

Happy to help this wonderful lady....and proud to be a part of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. All suspicious skin lesions should be evaluated to ensure that they are not serious in nature. https://www.foothealthfacts.org/article/mystery-moles

This is well worth the 5 minutes to watch. I wish I could say that I never had to delivery this message many times...and on Christmas Eve no less. Having left law enforcement far behind, it is things like this that not only bring it back, but bring such a sense of gratitude for those who put all on the line for all of us. God bless our CHP and law enforcement officers across the nation, as they leave their families behind to care for the rest of us.

Another great patient education publication from our American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Proud to serve the College. Please take a few minutes to read and have your questions answered. If you’re having problems with painful bunions, don’t hesitate to make an appointment at one of our Orange County, California offices.

Hey.....I know this guy! This was reposted on foothealthfacts.org and showed up in my newsfeed again yesterday. A great site for patients to learn about their foot and ankle problems, and what can be done to treat them. Honored to be part of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and promoting our profession and all we do.... This is what makes life worth living. It’s humbling. We all need to look beyond ourselves. It doesn’t take a special person to do something to make someone’s life even just a little better. ....none of us ever really know the impact we have on others as we cross paths. Be kind, empathetic, and thankful.

Foot and ankle fractures can often be a sign of loss of bone strength (osteoporosis), especially as we age. Please take a brief moment and take a look at this great article from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, which will help explain the signs and symptoms. As an aside, I am proud to say thank you to the featured surgeon, Dr. Georgeanne Botek of The Cleveland Clinic, whom I had the privilege of training under. https://www.foothealthfacts.org//is-your-foot-fracture-an-
