On 05-12-21 at about 5:30 pm OCPD officers discovered another marijuana grow in the 500 block of 2nd street. Over 200 plants were found and one person was arrested. He was identified as Ronnie Amaro of Orange Cove. Just days before another grow was discovered in the 400 block of 10th street. These types of illegal grows can generate an increase in crime within neighborhoods. It is important and the law to abide by all rules and regulations set by the state and local city ordinances in regards to cultivation.

OCPD thanks Cross City Christian Church for there generous donation of 11 brand new kids bikes. All bikes were given away to students attending Al Conner, Sheridan, and McCord elementary. Cross city church has held two bike clinics for Orange Cove residents where they provide free repairs. Which include changing tires, handle bars, bike chains, brake cables, inner tubes, and seats. Another bike clinic will be in the works, we will announce ahead of time.
