On 05-12-21 at about 5:30 pm OCPD officers discovered another marijuana grow in the 500 block of 2nd street. Over 200 plants were found and one person was arrested. He was identified as Ronnie Amaro of Orange Cove. Just days before another grow was discovered in the 400 block of 10th street. These types of illegal grows can generate an increase in crime within neighborhoods. It is important and the law to abide by all rules and regulations set by the state and local city ordinances in regards to cultivation.
Our thoughts and prayers for the Stockton Police Department and officers family during this difficult time. RIP Officer Inn.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and San Luis Obispo Police Department of the fallen officer.
OCPD wishes all mother’s a wonderful Mother’s Day. Thank you for everything.
OCPD thanks Cross City Christian Church for there generous donation of 11 brand new kids bikes. All bikes were given away to students attending Al Conner, Sheridan, and McCord elementary. Cross city church has held two bike clinics for Orange Cove residents where they provide free repairs. Which include changing tires, handle bars, bike chains, brake cables, inner tubes, and seats. Another bike clinic will be in the works, we will announce ahead of time.
OCPD wants to remind everyone to slow down during dense fog. Make sure your headlights are in the low beam setting. Never use high beam during fog it will only reflect making it harder for you to see. We want everyone to arrive to their destination safely. Stay safe everyone.
OCPD wants to thank the city council for this tradition. The true miracle workers were all the VOLUNTEERS, PUBLIC WORKS personnel, and all who contributed in making this event possible, truly a team effort. Every single person out there deserves recognition for their commitment to do for others. The community thanks you. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! Stay safe.
The Christmas banner looking good! We thank the city council for approving the banner and public works crew for hanging it up. Making the Christmas spirit a little better this time year. Stay safe everyone.
With the help of allied agencies and information sharing. The suspects responsible for the armed robbery which occurred in our city a little over a month ago were identified and arrested.
