2020 has taught us to be flexible, adaptable, and resilient. In times of stress and uncertainty, we find strength in working together. On Monday, our staff had evacuated the area due to the #silveradofire and closed yesterday and today as we awaited to hear updates from the fire authorities. As the winds calm and the fire is better contained, we will resume care tomorrow. Thank you for being understanding during this time while we are closed. Here are my favorite tips on how to reduce eye strain: 1- Follow the 20-20-20 rule; take a 20 second break to view something 20 feet away every 20 minutes. 2- Blink Blink Blink! Blinking minimizes your chances of developing dry eye when using a computer. Make an effort to blink frequently to keep your eyes moist.... 3- Use correct ambient lighting. Your ambient lighting should be brighter than your monitor. This reduces some of the strain from the glare of monitors and devices. 4- Consider computer glasses or reflective lenses. Specialized computer glasses reduce glare and symptoms. These glasses filter blue light to protect the eyes. Feel free to ask us questions.
