#Torah comes in all forms, and as we prepare to celebrate #Shavuot, take a listen to Duke Marine sharing just some of the ways we have learned together with The Open Yad Project over the past 3 years. Then consider a #donation while they are being matched 1-1 this month! Double your impact and help us keep bringing #Jewish and Jew-ish folks in our 20s & 30s together here in #westhollywood! https://www.kol-ami.org/open-yad-support

That's the way our leadership council member Michael Prince describes our community! Here's why they supported us with a #matched #donation this month!: Over the past 3 years, the Open Yad Project has been such a blessing to me: this welcoming community of Jewish and Jew-ish young adults has given me priceless friendships, precious memories, ongoing Jewish education, and above all, a place of belonging as a #queer, #trans Jew-by-choice. By supporting the Open Yad Project with a donation, you help this incredible group as we continue to extend an open hand to Jewish and Jew-curious young adults of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds. You can be a part of building this radically inclusive, uplifting, fun-loving, and sacred community! Amen amen! We’d be honored if you’d donate too! https://www.kol-ami.org/open-yad-support

Last night the @openyadproject celebrated #mothersday and #Jewishmothers with a #bookclub discussion of "Mamaleh Knows Best" by Marjorie Ingall. So much #wisdom in this book! Still sitting with this gem in particular: "Jewish mothers have always been the storytellers-in-chief. ...Whether we’re outside-work moms or at-home-most-of-the-time moms, we’re usually the ones conveying values, setting expectations of behavior, nurturing curiosity and love of learning and confidence and general chutzpah Storytelling is a big part of the why. Whether it's a happy day or a tough day for you, we see you, and we're sending #love and #support and #kindness your way
