In reality, ingredient lists do not tell us anything about product performance, and in fact, two products with identical ingredient lists are able to perform differently. There are several things that can be taken into consideration:... -Two products can contain various concentrations of the same ingredient -Two products can supply the same ingredient from different areas, which affect product performance -Two products can use different technologies that affect how a consumer receives certain benefits -Two products can use different experimental procedures, testing methods, etc. to cause a product to perform a certain way Overall, to evaluate a product solely based on the ingredient list, would not be as insightful, as an ingredient list is not really telling you much. An ingredient list is truly the bare minimum and as a consumer, it is up to you to determine a product’s efficacy by using it! Formulation matters!
