This was the first time a virtual black belt test was ever done, and it was amazing to see not only our students but everyone else participate as well! After Governor Newson's announcement yesterday regarding rolling back the re-openings of gyms, we will REMAIN open for in-person classes for YOUTH until further notice from the county. We feel we have established procedures to ensure the safety of our staff and students and help minimize the spread of the virus such as temperature checks, sanitizing of hands and shoes, and wiping down of the mats after every class. However, we understand that some families might not feel ...comfortable with in-person classes, therefore we are offering virtual classes in conjunction with our in-person classes. With the shelter-in-place set to expire May 31 and some counties have met the criteria to move into Phase 3 of the state's economy's reopening, some of you might be wondering when we will reopen. Unfortunately, Contra Costa County is one of the 11 counties in the state that are currently not ready to move into Phase 3. In addition, there is no specific date in the forecast.
