According to Mental Health America, Asian Americans are the least likely racial group in the U.S. to seek mental health services. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t impacted. As #AsianAmericanHeritageMonth coincides with #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, we want to take this time to remind our AAPI community that we’re here to help with not just your physical health, but your mental health as well. If you’ve been struggling to fall asleep lately you may be considering or already taking melatonin supplements. Providers agree that melatonin supplements are generally safe to take every night, but more research needs to be done to see if it’s effective for all forms of insomnia and safe for long term use.
