Tuesday’s Tip: Start Somewhere! I often see a look of disappointment on first time buyer’s faces when they realize the homes that are within their budgets are nothing like the homes they’ve envisioned themselves to be in. I tell them that the process to purchasing their dream home is very much like the process to getting their dream job; sometimes you have to start at the bottom and keep climbing the ladder until you’ve reached your goal.... I recommend my clients first purchase be a starter home, a home that does not meet all of their criteria, but is within their budget. When there is enough equity in their current property, I encourage my clients to sell and purchase another house that moves them closer to obtaining the home of their dreams. The key is, you have to start somewhere.
