You’re only aloud to frighten me ONCE a year, Toby. - Peds hem/onc nurse Kelly (super hero) Kelly & her fellow super Hero nurses were there Monday giving pla...telets to Toby. He had a bad reaction to them & went into anaphylactic shock. She & many others commented on how brave Toby was through the entire experience. Today, she was right there by his side just in case something happened during his transfusion. Many of the nurses came by to check on him. The Swat Med teams followed up. The ED was ready for whatever. Everyone was right there. Making sure he knew they are here for him. Our family is so blessed that Toby is receiving care from a top notch children’s hospital. We’re blessed it’s only 40 minutes away. We’re blessed that they call us to check up on him. We’re blessed there is a VILLAGE to help care for our Son!
