One of our recent projects is helping coffee farmers in Honduras gain access to clean water. So far, we have taken 350 filters to these farmers who provide coffee worldwide. oneATTAtime.org/coffee ___________________... #cleanwater #coffee #farmers #givecleanwater #waterforlife #donatewater #water #oneATTAtime See more

Nguyen Thi son shook our hands cheerfully expressing her happiness receiving the filter today. Living on a muddy and unclean water source for a long time drives her to the desire of obtaining the device. Each time there are commercials of water purification devices on TV, I just can watch and long for one. Like other households in the village, Son’s family has been going through a hard life. She and her husband have to support their two sons studying faraway with a big amou...nt of money while their income earned from cultivating some fruit trees, corn and peanut is quite low. Each month, the couple tries to cut down on their expenses as much as possible so that they can send some money to their sons. In the most recent flood, Son had to buy drinking water bottles as her water source was too bad to use. The filter given to Son today helps her to release the concern. Yet small, I can see the big benefits it will bring to us. Even when we work in our field faraway on the mountain, we still can take it with us, so we will always have clean water to drink. Before, we did not boil water but drink directly. I cannot describe enough my gratitude to you. Thank you for this precious gift. See more

If you don’t have clean water, you won’t have health. If you don’t have health, you won’t have anything, said the vice president of Phuoc Gia commune Red Cross named Xung. Xung has been working for the local government for five years, so she knows her locality clearly. The water access here is very limited. People here mainly have two options: using the water from the mountain or digging wells, but whichever they choose, the quality of water is not good and it becomes wors...e and muddy in the rainy season. Xung feels bad for her own family and other residents living in this miserable situation. Some people have to go fetching better water, some borrowing money to dig wells, some even sometimes have to buy drinking water bottles even though they are really poor and barely have food to eat. In general, they are struggling with water on a daily basis. With the filters, people are overjoyed as they know that their lives and health will be much better. Thank you so much for granting them this amazing device said Xung. --- #cleanwater #water #helpchildren #givecleanwater See more

Did you know diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war, and 43% of those deaths are children under the age of 5. Carrying a son patiently standing in line, Ho Thi Dot excitedly looking at the filters. She said: We have been waiting for you since early this morning. My three-year-old son has had diarrhea for two days. Our water at this time is bad, so when we hear that you will distribute us water filters, we are so excited. Using unclean mountain water directly, her family is having symptoms of water-borne diseases, especially her children. Diarrhea, vomiting, headache and stomachache... come to the family over and over again. I am very worried about my kids’ health. They are too young to endure this but living from hand to mouth prevents me and my husband from affording better water for them. This bad feeling haunts the mother of three children, making her feel powerless for a long time. She has tried some ways to purify the water but it seems that these ways have no effect. The rainy season this year is prolonging due to unexpected weather changes and couple days ago Dot still worried that her family would have to use polluted water for a while longer. Holding the filter, Dot gets emotional saying thank you to ATTA and GIBTK for freeing her from that concern. --- #water #cleanwater #children #love #helpchildren #savechildren #donate #givewater #waterforlife #cleanwaterforall #globalwatercrisis See more

Sean Kappauf, founder of One Atta Time, a nonprofit that provides filtration kits around the world for cleaning drinking water, was handed a $10,000 check. With the pandemic, everything shifted, Kappauf said. What was interesting is that while other revenue steams were lost, other people like Sparky stepped up to give on a whole other level. That donation was huge, he said, providing about 200 filters, each ensuring clean water to families of about six to 10 people. P...eople still need clean water and people say ‘That’s not OK. We’re going to keep giving, even though we’re having a hard time, too.’ It was powerful seeing that, just seeing people still stepping up and giving, Kappauf said. While accepting the check at the store, Kappauf said one of the shop’s workers heard he was heading to El Salvador and asked if he could take a clean water filter to her family there. We were able to give her family clean drinking water and Rainbow Sandals, Kappauf said. A huge thank you to @rainbowsandals & @ocregister
