One At A Time Homeless Ministry 13.07.2021

Genuine repentance is inseparably linked to a changed lifestyle. Unfortunately I don’t see a lot of this on Skid Row. I’m asking that you pray that this might happen to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me. Acts 26:18

Well, everything is shut down again in Los Angeles. George , the owner of the Corner café on 7th & Maple in Skid Row had to close the small patio that he has. He says he’s lost over 35% of his business. His workers are afraid they might lose their job but he says he’s plans to keep going. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to have our church service in that little patio. I went yesterday and visited with the people and passed out lots of socks, underwear, shirts etc. I...t was great having my grandson, Adam Kraft go along with me. He helped pass out stuff from the other side of the van. It makes it much easier so that I don’t have to go back-and-forth when there’s so many people. I was able to give my Christmas cards to my workers to show my appreciation for all they do all year long , even when we’re not able to meet. We had well over 50 people, serving them their cheeseburger lunch. Everyone was really appreciative of all One At A Time is doing. It’s always so nice to visit with old and new friends. I want to thank all the people who have supported One At A Time this year with donations, supplies etc. , without your prayers and support I don’t think this ministry could go on. I would ask that you continue to pray that we will be able to meet soon with the church service and Bible studies an continue to show love an support to all these people. Vernon, along with Gary have been there faithfully every first second and third Wednesday to help pass out food and also the the third Sunday. We would really like to get started having our meetings again . The Lord is faithful and never fails to encourage at just the right time. Thank you all and I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. Your mercies are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.Lamentations 3:23 See more

Sunday was my day to go down to OAAT. My grandson, Adam went with me. I have to admit it is not as much fun knowing we can’t have our gathering for a church service. I was able to visit with some old and new friends. Also to pass out some clothes and tracts. i’m hoping in the next month or two things will be back to normal. The LORD was faithful in giving us a wonderful day. All for his glory. I’ll post a couple of random pictures. Thank for your prayers , especially pray for the men that work for OAAT.

It was so wonderful to be at OAAT Sunday. Corner Kafe served up over 38 Cheeseburger meals for OAAT. Vernon prayed for our people & the meal. I’m looking forward to the day we can again have service. It’s so sad these people , as all people , need the Lord. They need the encouragement of his Word. If anything is essential this is! I was able to visit with a number of people . It was so great to witness an hand out a couple of tracts. One a salvation tract an the other encour...aging verses to help with whatever need you might have. This was the first time in months I was able to pass out T shirts, underwear, socks an other clothes etc. . Everyone was really thankful. One man returned to show me how his brand new, white T shirt looked. I especially enjoyed visiting with Wayne, who’s come to OAAT for several years. Very encouraging for me & him. He said he felt the Lord knew he needed to be there. To sum it up the Lord blessed me & OAAT and also gave safety going an coming. I also felt his protection from a very close accident. Thanks again for all your prayers. I would ask that you continue to pray for the people of Skid Row. See more

August is about over an we still are not allowed to gather. Vernon & Gary met up with One at a Time people to help them get a meal on our three Wednesdays an one Sunday that we would normally meet for Bible study & service. Pray for George, the owner of Corner Kafe. This time has been hard on his business. He’s always so gracious to allow us to meet there & prepare the meals that OAAT provides. Also continue to pray for the LORD’s will for the people an that we might be able to meet again soon. Thank you. Depend on the LORD in whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3

Another Sunday I’m not able to go to One At A Time. Please pray for all our people. Some will still come to the Corner Kafe to get there lunch , compliments of OAAT but we cannot gather yet. Pray restrictions will lift soon, I miss everyone. They need , as all of us do, God’s word for encouragement . Vernon meets with everyone to pray before their meal is given. Praise God for his faithfulness an George the cafe owner who so graciously prepares the food & helps me.

Hi everybody! It’s been hard being unable to go to One at a Time to gather for our third Sunday church services. Also Vernon hasn’t been able to have his Wednesday Bible study. George, the owner of the cafe where we meet , is having a tough time. Many of the people from Skid Row like to meet an eat in the patio not take it to go. So many have stopped coming. I talked with George & Vernon. We decided on Bible Study days Vernon will be there to see if any show up. He will... then pray, an One at a Time will buy their meal. We did this Sunday (third Sunday) too. Twenty nine showed up. That way they won’t forget us. An we might peak new interest in some that haven’t heard of OAAT. Los Angeles County have strict regulations, so I’m asking for prayer that we will be allowed to meet soon, that George will be able to keep his Korner Cafe open and that my helpers will remain faithful. Thank you & God Bless. Marion. And let us not grow weary doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 See more
