The team has expertly installed 2.5 MILES of underground utilities through a maze of undocumented oil and gas lines, and has driven 542 piles, some to a depth of 72 feet! Details of the @childrensinstitutela Watts campus coming together. The atrium opens up to the second floor and clerestory of the facility. Designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the new building is intended to be a central communication and gathering place, allowing the speaker at the ground level to address the entire building at once. It is truly an honor to build a space that not only celebrates community but will bring critical therapeutic programs and a variety of supports for children and families to Watts. Construction is underway on the new Canoga Park Bridge Housing project and scheduled to be completed by Q4 of 2020. The project is a collaboration between the @losangeles_county @cityoflosangelesofficial and @lafamilyhousing to transform an existing, one-story building into a 16,000 square-foot center for people experiencing homelessness. The project will house 81 individuals and include bathrooms/showers, laundry facilities, a recreation room, dining area, outdoor communal space, outdoor pet area and kennels, and office spaces. Residents will have access to job training, mental health care and other services. Congratulations to the team on an early project delivery at the Freeway Business Center project located in Riverside, CA. In partnership with Crow Holdings and RGA Office of Architectural Design, Oltmans Construction Co. constructed 709,081 s.f. of industrial warehouse space and relocated extensive underground and overhead utilities including a 48-in EMWD owned waterline and re-routed all Frontier trunk lines that were in conflict with the building pad. The project was delivered one month early (totaling approximately 15-months of construction) despite weather and COVID-19 delays. IN PROGRESS: The Colony Commerce Center, located in the Inland Empire West, is currently the largest industrial development project in the United States! Oltmans and our team of subcontractors are wrapping up the construction of Phase 2, consisting of 9 Class-A, concrete structures which make up the 11-building logistics park. Once complete, the master-planned facility will span nearly 3 million square feet of building area, offering modern industrial facilities in one of the nation’s premier logistics markets. Thomas House is a rent-free shelter for homeless families with children. Oltmans Construction Co.’s Drywall division self-performed updates to a two-bedroom apartment for the community located in Garden Grove. Oltmans added new insulation, drywall, and finished the walls and ceiling throughout the second-floor apartment.
