To recognize #EnvironmentalAwareness Month, we're highlighting some of the conservation efforts made by the San Jose Sharks In concert with the City of Oaklan...d, Oakland Ice Center Operated by Sharks Ice installed 1,960 Panasonic North America solar panels in 2012 and updated the array in 2020. The 372kW system on the roof of the building generates 31% of the electricity used by the facility. Lighting upgrades were paired with the panels, including 300 fixtures that doubled lamp life, optimize energy savings and enhanced the lighting quality for the rinks. See more

We are looking forward to her defending her title at the 2021 US National Championships in San Jose, CA at the SAP Center, next year.

This week, we are highlighting Alysa Liu, two-time US national champion (2019 and 2020) who practices at Oakland Ice Center! Today’s video is from the 2020 US National Championships where she was the Senior Ladies Champion for the second year in a row! At the age of 14, Liu's win made her the youngest two-time women's U.S. champion and the first woman in seven years to win back-to-back U.S. championships, since Ashley Wagner in 2013.
