It's great to see everyone out there slaying on the crab, cod, and sturgeon grounds. Meanwhile I'm busy at chevron refinery in richmond for a unit turnaround. Grateful to be as busy as I am working in my amazing career but I definitely miss crab on opening weekend, networking with other captains across the fleet, and just bullshit talking about fishing to be honest. It was good to talk to a few good friends tonight, almost makes me feel like I'm out there again. I miss my boa...t, haven't splashed in in over two months now it seems like. In this industry when its time to make your money for the year you have to commit 100% to it. I love my career, both of them, pipe fitter welder and part time captain. Throwback to last year's crab combos, November is gonna be a busy month for me at the refinery but I won't go without my crab ! We may not get the chance to run trips until the end of the year but with covid having me off longer than normal this year I gotta work all the OT available to me. Looking forward to our first crab dinner come November and wishing all those who venture after these delicious little morsels full pots and a safe return home.

We started our morning hunting down the elusive ghost fish aka white sea bass. They were uncooperative for us. We gave it till noon and switched gears over to hali and put in a respectable score of 7 butts to 16 lbs for 3 anglers. Back on the hunt tomorrow. Just a reminder the next couple weekends could potentially be our last available trips for the year due to my primary job at the refinery needing me on overtime for the remainder of the year. Last week I put in 73 hours at work at the refinery, no time for fishing on the weekend. When it's time to go get it, it's what I do. When the overtime opportunity is there so am I. The fish will be there when I'm off again and in the mean time I'll enjoy watching others continue to bag quality fish every week. The trade life isn't for everyone and neither is the salt life but I chose both. I'm lucky enough to have a career that supports both my family and the fishing addiction, and even more lucky to have a woman that supports me through it all. I may be off the water for a month or two but we will be back once this shutdown is complete and we return to a 40hr schedule. Big thanks to those who have supported us this year and the return clients who keep coming back.

We ran a shark trip today and had plenty of action to go around. Seven leopards and two 7 gill sharks to keep, we released close to 20 others. Bent rods, doubles and beautiful weather literally all day. thanks bill and friends for a fun trip. Friday and Sunday are open next weekend come get your last fix before our salt season is over.

Limits by noon today for our two person charter, we were treated to good weather and solid action all day. We hung out for a crew fish and headed to the barn early. Thanks again for joining us. We have an open boat for halibut on Sunday $250 a person. Enjoy the pictures from today

Great day today in the bay chasing halibut, 12 butts for 5 today with action all day. Dropped a few and again had the limit opportunity. This bite shows no signs of stopping there are still fish literally everywhere in the bay still. Thanks Gabe and family for booking with us today we enjoyed having you. We grinded it out, 7 butts today for 3 anglers, many opportunities to get our limit and then some but that's fishing. Back at it tomorrow for another round of halibut. Thanks Jensen, Mike, and Brian for joining us today!
