We're suspending our meetings and other events until further notice. Also cancelled are this year's Ganahl Show and Imaginology. We'll make announcements via email and Facebook when things change. Until then, this is a good time to catch up on carving projects at home. Stay safe and healthy, friends.

Chip Carving Basics with: Edward Heskett Part 1: Saturday, February 22, 9 AM - 4 PM Part 2: Sunday, February 23, 9 AM - 4 PM... Description: This class will help you get started with chip carving. On your first day you will learn to transfer patterns, proper and safe technique to cut two-sided, three-sided, four-sided chips and project finishing. On your second day, you will work on your coaster(s) and learn to carve Gothic leaf, chatter free curve and maintain straight line. Tuition: $150.00 Tuition Notes: Includes All Materials And Patterns For Practice And The Project Of Four Coasters. Bring Your Own Chip Carving Knife / Knives. We won't have a meeting NEXT Wednesday, Jan. 29th. So tonight is your last chance to come to an OCWC meeting until next month!

Our Jan. 8 meeting is sure to be the best one we've had this year! See you there! (And don't forget, it's raffle night.)

Our Dec. 11th meeting will be our last until Jan. 8th. Tomorrow will also be our last mentoring session with the 4-H kids. We need 6 members and 6 wood burners with writing tips who can teach the kids. If you can help teach or loan a burner and tip, let us know at [email protected].

There will be no OCWC meeting on Nov. 27. Our next meeting will be our Christmas Dinner on Dec. 4 (see previous post). Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Our Christmas Party begins 5pm, Wed, Dec 4, 2019 at the Church of the Foothills, with live music, raffle, gift exchange, and a catered dinner (6pm) with ham, turkey, all the trimmings, beverages, salad and pie. Bring a wrapped handmade/homemade gift. (If bringing a guest, bring an additional gift, so they can also participate.) RSVP to [email protected] by Nov. 27.
