The IRON DOOR is turning 50 YEARS Old. 1970-2020 Many of the locals come in on sundays after the weekend quiets down. I call many in ...this group the OGs or Original Gang haha absolutely the heart of a community are the people who live there and have for generations. We drink beer, wine, soda and coffee. And once in awhile tang in our champagne. I call it history sundays. Many old stories are being shared. We want to document some of the iron door history and ocotillo wells history while we still have the OGs it makes me smile to listen to multiple first hand experiences. We have no real plan. Just show up who shows up. Talk about current and the past. All are welcome. If you want to join in bring your old off road pictures and stories. Family stuff many times. Two or three months and then people who go to the river will go there instead of camping in borrego desert. Ocotillo wells will be beautiful. Less people, perfect morning and evening riding weather. Flowers and critters. I anticipate that the Iron door will be busy. Multiple events planned around the community. Come out and visit. Come during the day friday Saturday and Sunday open at noon. The lunch crowd is always an active group of adventure seekers. Many of them Finishing there morning rides. Hahah get off your phone and come out to visit me in the real life. But we do have wifi Wild Wild Dirt. Peace
