On Thursday, Oct 15, from 7-8pm PDT, we spent time learning about a few major musical artists of South Korea throughout the past several decades who made a big impression on the nation. King Sejong is coming to Irvine! Our Hangeul Day Celebration was held via Zoom on October 8th. We played a round of Jeopardy demonstrating the students’ knowledge of Hangeul and had a short Minhwa (Korean folk art painting) lesson with Hangeul as the theme. #IrvineKingSejongInstitute # # # #

The memorial, which was organized by the Orange County Korean War Memorial Committee, will be the first Korean War Memorial in the United States to commemorate all 36,492 United States Service members who died during the war. Of these losses, 2,611 were from California.
