Serna motion granted by Judge Haskins. It was hairy for a second when he started citing the mailbox rule. Luckily, the DA and police had only done two things to find her in the past three years, Jack and Sh*t, so the case was dismissed.

Finally closed out a case I took over from another law firm who wasn’t making my client happy. They wanted him to plea to a Felony DUI with injury and 1-year jail. I finally closed it out and it was reduced to a misdemeanor with 25 days house arrest.

Mandatory appearance for cases that aren’t filed. Waste of a morning.

9 cases. 3 courthouses. 2 counties. I had my calendar all stacked perfectly so I could do 6 cases in Santa Ana. Then I pick up 3 new cases yesterday evening. 2 in West and one in Pomona. This was a busy day! Can’t really complain, this is a good problem to have.
