From home, OCC volunteers packaged hundreds of briefs, female products as well as much needed items like deodorant, cotton swabs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remove and more! Two baskets full of supplies forTHANK YOU for your service. the head and the dorm, with much more for distribution. We would LOVE photos once this has been delivered!

Yesterday, OCC delivered 72 special care/appreciation gifts to the firefighters at Travis Air Force Base. We greatly appreciate their support during the recent fires in Solano County, and wanted to show our appreciation to them. Each bag contained socks, a Lemongrass Spa foot care kit, hand sanitizer and a gift card for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Oh, and they will be in the new prize drawings which will start here on our Facebook page next week! THANK YOU for your service!
I'm sending this email to say thank you and the organization for sending the care packages, we really appreciate it. Everyone in our unit loves them and are extremely grateful. I also promised pictures in return, so here you go. Sincerely, Thompson, A
Busy making hundreds and hundreds of OCC candy bags ready for a military Halloween event! Making some NO PEANUTS bags, too, for those allergic to them.
Happy 245th US Navy! Glad we don’t still have those ships.....
Yesterday, our key volunteer team met at our storage units and filled 186 boxes to send overseas. The boxes were filled with great goodies, sponsored by the fantastic folks at Frank-Lin Distillers Products in Fairfield! Donations included Zone Bars donated by Abbott Labs, care packages from Saratoga Rotary Club and Hello Angels, adorable candy bags with hand-written notes of thanks from National Charity League, donations from folks who sent them using our goody list on Amazon... Prime, and much much more! Last week, we packed 11 HUGE boxes which were taken to USCG Alameda. They will be transported to the crew of the USCG Waesche, which had a serious fire on board last month. The crew needed some OCC love, care and comfort so we did our best. Boxes included an XBOX system and games, air popper with new movies and TV series, candy, books, hygiene kits, snacks, knit caps, hand and foot warmers, socks and tees and more. Well done, Team OCC! THANK YOU to all who donated!
This story was emailed to us today. It is an account of this Sailor’s journey aboard the Navy destroyer USS Hughes (DD-410.) Julie’s Father also served on this ship and was also a Kamikaze survivor. Interesting historical read. RIP, Mr. MIchelson. www.lenmarkfh.com/obituaries/David-Mickelson-2/elson +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++... https://footstepsresearch.org/david-s-mickelson/
