What to know what to expect after a new #invisiblebeadextensions installation??? Well, a few things! 1st You'll need to wash your new pillowcase and unpack all of your new IBE goodies you received in your care package. Make sure your brush is handy! ... Next, you'll probably take some bomb selfies and after that, feel free to show off that gorgeous new hair! The first night after a new installation always is noticeable to me but never painful. I can tell that everything is back up and secure again and I usually can only "feel" my rows that first night. After that, I don't know that they're even there but again, no pain or discomfort. Your first few washes with this new hair will be shocking when you get your hair wet! I wasn't prepared for the weight (since I have such fine hair naturally). It again was something I got used to! You'll want to make sure you brush before you wash and bring that clip with you into the shower. It will probably take you a few extra minutes at first but you'll be a pro in no time. Same goes for your first few blow dries. It's more hair so expect more time with the blow dryer. I usually like to air dry for 45 mins to an hour and then bust out my blow dryer to get the base of my extensions fully dry before I get out my hot brush. That thing is a time saver! Most of my new guest installs are up and feeling confident with their IBE within the first 2-3 weeks. I also like to schedule your first move up or re-installation appointment within 6-8 weeks to make sure everything is going well. Hope that helps! #sacramentohairextensions #rosevillehairextensions #sacramento #rosevilleca

So, how often should I be toning my hair? That's a good question! I'd have to say that it depends! If you're one of my copper/red highlight guests, I would suggest 6 weeks paired with some Davines Alchemic Red or Copper shampoo and conditioner at home. ... If you're a brunette who loves warmer toned highlights (think caramel or chocolate), then I would suggest 8-10 weeks. If you're a blonde who loves cooler tones (ashy or platinum), I would suggest every 6-8 weeks paired with the occasional purple shampoo. Anytime your highlights are warmer (golden or copper tones), you can go longer between toning appointments since warm tones are exposed during the lightening process, that is what your hair will always fade to. Since toners are usually semi or demi permanent color, they will always fade, that's what they were designed to do. Usually by about 20 washes, your toner is faded. If you like your highlights to be cooler toned, then maybe 4-6 weeks might be more like what you'd want. Especially if you're a natural brunette and like cooler tones. Your hair will also expose more warmth when it's lightened. This means that your mushroom brown (which is a cool brown) will get warmer over time as your toner fades. I could literally keep typing about this topic forever! I love talking about toners and color theory! #sacramentohair #rosevillehair #studiosalon

Does "low-maintenance" hair color exist? Well....that's a well debated question in the hair industry. I believe that there is a perfect match for color maintenance based on your current season in life. I love vivids (wore them for years myself) but they are definitely more maintenance than a highlight. All over colors can sometimes be more maintenance too if you are going drastically lighter or darker than your natural. ... Here are the questions that I would suggest to share with me or your Stylist before you decide on a new color: 1) How often do you I want to return to the salon? 2) Will I need to change my at-home care routine? 3) If I need to change it (my routine) am I okay with that change? More or less time needed to style or wash differently? 4) Will I need new products to care for & keep up my new color? 5) What happens if I change my mind and want to go back to what I had before? Reviewing these questions will help you and your stylist come up with a game plan for the perfect color and maintenance plan for you. And remember, the seasons in our life change and sometimes we can do that fun high maintenance color that you've been wanting because you're ready to take it on! #rosevillehair #rosevilleca #sacramentohair

I wanted to let all of you beautiful people know about some changes coming in 2021. I'll be leaving my amazing salon home, The Colour Bar Salon, and moving into a salon studio closer to home in Roseville. I'm so grateful and blessed to have been part of TCB for 5.5 years. It wasn't an easy decision but I know it's what's best for my family in the years to come. Here's some information for all of my amazing clients/guests: You're Moving? First of all, I would like to thank...Continue reading
