A message that I received from Bof A - Please forward/share -- Reboot your router and update your password to help prevent a recent malware system from impacting your business. Bank of America Merchant Services wants to make sure that you are aware of the latest cybersecurity threats to help you protect your business. Recently, the FBI issued a Public Service Announcement that an estimated 500,000 small office and home routers in at least 54 countries have been infected by m...alware, called VPNFilter. VPNFilter is capable of blocking web traffic, collecting information that passes through home and office routers and disabling the devices entirely. The malware targets routers produced by several manufacturers. To help defend your business against VPNFilter, the FBI recommends that you reboot your router to temporarily disrupt the malware if it is present. You should also upgrade your device's firmware and select a new secure password. If any remote-management settings are in place, they should be disabled. It's a privilege to serve you. On behalf of us all at Bank of America Merchant Services, thank you for your business. For more information on this issue, please see below https://www.ic3.gov/media/2018/180525.aspx
