Last month, we shared an article from Prism (https://prismreports.org//estasencasa-campaign-connects-l/) about our Trans & LGBTQ+ ...Asylum Seeker #EstasEnCasa Sponsorship Campaign and the incredible work of trans migrants at Casa de Colores, a shelter in Ciudad Juárez that houses trans and gender-nonconforming asylum-seekers. All of the residents of Casa de Colores have successfully arrived to the United States to seek asylum! Many members of Casa de Colores are now staying at Casa Carmelita in El Paso as they continue to find suitable sponsors for long term housing. This year we helped over 408 asylum seekers in various stages of their cases, trained almost 150 legal advocates, and won 91 permanent residency or green card cases.
