It’s November and we’re in the Friendsgiving spirit! For the past 3 years, OACC would host a free Friendsgiving Potluck for the community to connect and hangout. We offered mahjong games and a karaoke party while providing the turkey. Part of our efforts also included a can-food and toys-for-tots drive in the spirit of the holiday. Since we cannot host the event this year, we wanted to bring the spirit of Friendsgiving to our community with a goodie-box filled with fun activ...ities and recipes to try! Proceeds benefit OACC and Alameda County Community Food Bank @accfb since we cannot host a can-food drive on site this year. It will be a potluck of amazing community contributions in one box, which will include: an OACC designed bojagi wrap and lotus enamel pin, a handcrafted ornament by Thibbit, candy cane cocoa mix, two fortune cookies from Fortune Cookie Factory, a handmade face mask from Sarah Kim Lee & friends, lemongrass seasoning from Tumami Spices, 20 sheets of origami paper, and an activity/recipe booklet featuring favorite holiday recipes from Chef Tu David Phu, Sarah Kim Lee, Viridian, Made With Lau, Malina Syvoravong, and Pinx Catering!
